This is probably embarrassing to admit, but I have never received a valentine before. I have never put much credence in the holiday, but thank you, Sirius.

I don't think I like the library in this time. Almost everything is electronic, and there are very few actual books in the building, which is quite small for how much information is contained in it; it hardly resembles a library at all. But, I have endeavoured to find a way to get us back home, and so I will keep looking, despite the fact that the screens hurt my eyes after a while. Although, I suppose that is no different than reading books at home.
I have been given the job of tailor, and I think I quite like it, as far as menial tasks go. It is definitely a break from the paperwork I'm used to doing with the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, but I would like to return to it eventually. I must admit I'm not quite as adept with a needle and thread as I would like, but I think I'm getting better; as they say, "Practice makes perfect".
[Private: Mother, Aunt Andromeda]I would love to have the both of you over for tea, when you have time. We have much to catch up on. Cousin Evan is more than welcome to join us, of course.

This is quite extraordinary. I've only read about time travel on a massive scale like this, but it seemed to be only a theoretical possibility. Obviously someone must have figured it out eventually, or we wouldn't be here. My brother would call me a bookworm at this point, but I'm going to make finding a library a priority tomorrow; I'd love to catch up on history and how the future seems to have regressed to the steam power of the 1800s.
Speaking of which, does anyone happen to know how and when we can go back? It's not that I don't find all of this completely fascinating, but I would like to eventually return home.
Oh, I almost forgot, how silly of me. My name is Hermione Lestrange.
